SHIN JIN MEI | 信心銘- DAY TWENTY SEVEN

"If an eye never falls asleep,
All dreams will by themselves cease:
If the Mind retains its absoluteness,
The ten thousand things are of one Suchness.
"

All the deluded dreams of the small self can and will cease if we can cut off their mind-runway. By not taking up the secondary narrative that the discursive mind spins, we can stay open and clear in the present moment. Without a follower, the false narrative disintegrates.

If we simply return to the moment when distracted, the Mind retains its absoluteness - its transcendent quality. By staying with what is coming up through bearing witness and simply accepting, we take the ten thousand things as one monolithic Suchness.
