YOGA @ One River Zen

Embracing Union: Yoga @ One River Zen

Our program is thoughtfully curated to bring together the profound wisdom of Zen Buddhism and the transformative practice of Yoga. Led by Zen Buddhist Priest and Certified Yoga Instructor Vanessa Roddam, our program offers a unique and harmonious blend of two ancient traditions that complement and enrich each other.

Embodying Stillness and Movement

In Zen, we cherish the art of seated meditation, zazen, as a means to explore the depths of our true nature and cultivate mindfulness. The Zen path empowers us to embrace the present moment with openness and compassion, leading us to a state of profound inner stillness and peace.

Yoga offers a beautiful balance to Zen with its emphasis on additional physical postures (asanas) and breathwork (pranayama). Through Yoga, we learn to unite our bodies, minds, and spirits in graceful harmony. The practice allows us to release tension, build strength, and enhance flexibility, while also opening channels for an even deeper understanding of ourselves and our interconnectedness with all of existence.
