SHIN JIN MEI | 信心銘- DAY FOURTEEN

"Abide not with dualism,
Carefully avoid pursuing it;
As soon as you have right and wrong,
Confusion ensues, and Mind is lost.
"

It is important to note here that this is not a denial of dualism - the mechanism by which dualism originates and perpetuates is well-known and very real. The edict here is to not abide with dualism. When we cherish our opinions and conceptual constructs, we in essence abide with dualism. Even preferring the Absolute to the Relative creates confusion - losing the presence of the Big Mind. We are being called to put all of this away by not clinging to the discriminations and preferences created by the small mind.
