This year has been a bountiful one for our community. With your support, we’ve sown seeds of compassion and connection, reaching out to serve those in need and nurture the Dharma in creative and profound ways.
Our Karuna Pantry has become a vital resource, offering food to those facing hunger. Its heavy use has inspired us to expand our efforts to meet this pressing need. Bodhi’s Nook, our little free library, has sparked a thirst for Dharma, challenging us to keep its shelves filled with wisdom and inspiration. Meanwhile, Kannon’s Way, our women’s group led by Hoshi Vanessa, continues to flourish, creating a safe space for women to deepen their practice and connection.
This year also marked the beginning of our Recovery Retreats with the inaugural Zen and the Way of Recovery, and we are planning to grow this life-changing outreach in 2025. We are excited to share that we’re launching new initiatives, including All of the Colors of Dawn, a support group for parents and caregivers of autistic and neurodivergent children, and an emerging outreach for those grieving loss.
To carry forward these transformative efforts, we need your help. Your presence, participation, and hands-on support make everything we do possible. But as we plan for 2025, we also need financial resources to sustain and expand our offerings.
Your generosity fuels our ability to offer nourishment to the hungry, solace to the grieving, community to the isolated, and the timeless teachings of the Dharma to all who seek them.
Together, let’s keep this river of compassion flowing strong!
