ROHATSU SESSHIN MEDITATION RETREAT
@ One River Zen

Rohatsu Sesshin 2023
Deep, week-long Meditation Retreat

Discover profound stillness and awaken your inner light during our upcoming Rohatsu Sesshin. Embrace the tradition of introspection and meditation as we commemorate the enlightenment of Buddha. Guided by Zen Teachers and Priests, immerse yourself in focused practice, insightful teachings, and serene contemplation.

Retreats are a total immersion in practice. Together, we sit many hours in meditation, enjoy dharma talks and one-on-one discussions with a teacher, chant Buddhist sutras, and restore our lives through reflection and renewed commitment. We share simple vegetarian meals together and live in community.

We practice in community, living dormitory-style in our beautiful Temple, a Queen Anne Victorian built in 1890, situated on the scenic banks of the Illinois River.

Participants can immerse themselves in nature - taking a walk along the river front or even take a short ride to Starved Rock State Park.
